I discovered Neeta through a friend, and I must say she did not disappoint. I wasn't meant to have a mini henna party but after seeing how great she was with my mehndi, mom made immediate calls to few friends for their mehndi and next thing we knew, we had a group of close family friends getting their mehndi done. I do not even know of any other mehndi artists in the area and even if they are living next door to me, I will still recommend Neeta to our family/friends weddings. As a bride, you need vendors that put you to comfort not give you any unnecessary stress, Neeta is organized, punctual, and fun to be around. And Neeta was recommended to my aunt, (since i was flying from boston to cali to get married) I appreciated the fact she came a couple days before to do it (instead of the day of the wedding). I actually liked alot of the designs so it was hard for me to pick. I wanted the ones that covered my whole arm, but i didnt get them because I thought it was actually a little pricey. I first had met Neeta through my best friend at her very own Mehendi party, and I was instantly impressed. So impressed, that I had to have Neeta do my own henna for my wedding! First of all, I must say if you want her to do your mehendi, please book in advance, because she is very popular - and rightfully so!She was incredibly patient and gave recommendations when I was undecided. She has a feeling on what your personality is and what you might like and offered suggestions in case you were not sure. On my mehendi day, she arrived with everything ready. The actual mehendi was of quality, and almost aromatic (she adds essential oils so the henna doesn't 'stink' so much) and she absolutely makes you feel at ease when she starts applying the henna. She is absolutely professional, but she still feels like a friend when she's making conversation with you, essential when you're sitting for 4 hours straight. The best part is the artistry, I've never had such beautiful artwork done, and so detailed that you can see every curve. Definitely not thick handiwork, but very sharp. My family who was staying with me from India, were also very impressed with the work done. They had mentioned that her work even rivals what they have had done in India. If I could do it again, I would for sure pick Neeta. Without a doubt.

And what kind of stamina she has, she started doing the mehndi at 4:30 pm and stayed at the house until 11:30 pm (she did my mehndi as well as half the guest). I was referred to her by a friend who told me her designs were incredibly beautiful and that she was a highly skilled mehndi artist - and it's true! She was extremely professional about booking the appointment, returning my phone calls, answering any questions I had, taking the time to meet with me and suggested that I have a sample design done. When it came to picking my mehndi design, I was at a loss since each of her samples was so lovely, but she made the process easier telling me that she customized designs to suit the bride and even would add touches based on my preferences. I couldn't have been happier with how everything went - she came over to my home exactly as we had planned (again, very very professional!!), patiently put on the mehndi (which took about 4 hours, but she never complained) and then even agreed to stay later to do mehndi on my sisters, cousins, mom and aunt's hands, even though this was well past her bedtime! But luckily, I lived in Elk Grove so her commute was short. :) Also, the mehndi Neeta uses is REALLY good - it comes out very dark and really stands out - I had so many people pay me compliments and remark how it was even better than anything you would see "back home". To top it off, Neeta's rate is extremely reasonable.
So, in short, definitely have Neeta do your wedding (or other event) mehndi!!! You will not be disappointed!!

From the very first time I met her, it was easy for me to understand how much mehendi means to Neeta as an art form. There is a distinct difference in quality when an artist creates her art as a result of passion and many, many years of practice. Neeta's work exceeds expectations and is amazing in every way.

She was able to do detailed art on my guests' hands within a short amount of time. The result of the mehndi's color turned out great too. Neeta does a wonderful on explaining on how to maintain the mehndi once it is put on. I would totally recommend to anyone to get Neeta for their upcoming wedding or any other functions.

I got my wedding Mehndi done from Neeta. She’s very professional and extremely talented. I chose the design from one of her own bridal mehndi designs. At first it was really confusing as all of her designs were so beautiful that I wasn’t able to decide on one. So finally I chose two different designs and asked her to combine both. She was so fast at her work that she was able to do mehndi for the guests too. She did a wonderful job with the design and the color came out really dark. I got lots of compliments from all my family members and others. I was so impressed with her work that on my first karva chauth after marriage again I called on Neeta to get my mehndi done. It was an honor to get my mehendi designed by Neeta Sharma. She is by far, the most superior mehendi artist I've ever meet. In 9/2006, she designed my girl friend's wedding henna, 10/06 my wedding henna and in 5/08 we made an appointment to get our mehendi designed for our brother's wedding, because after working with Neeta, we were never impressed with any other mehendi artist. The quality of her mehendi is very intricate and detailed. Every design is made with thought, desire and passion. Her henna comes out very dark maroon, regardless of who's henna Neeta designs. I had done some searching online for a mehndi artist and came across her website. I had contacted her and she let me know that she was going to be at the bridal show that was coming very soon in the bay area. That was a great way to see her work and be able to compare her work to the artists there. She was very professional, worked with my schedule and reassured me that the mehndi would turn out just fine. As time came closer to the wedding, I was getting a little bit frantic about everything coming together, but I had no problems with Neeta or the mehndi. In fact, she also gave tips about designs, how to get it dark, and little details to make sure it looked great on my big day. Neeta did an amazing job on my mehndi design for my wedding, it took me several months to find the right designer but as soon as I saw Neeta's work I knew I had come to the right person. She was very pleasant to work with and the detail she put into my design was amazing at the pace she worked. The quality of the mehndi she used was great as I did not even leave it on overnight yet the color was really dark and lasted for days after. I still have family and friends ask me where I got my mehndi done as from all the work we've seen and the amount of weddings we've been to, Neeta's work has to be by far the best I've seen. I have had the pleasure of hosting numerous "henna" events, both social and professional (wedding parties, ladies parties, coorperation events, etc.). Neeta has been the "henna artist" at every one of these events. Over the years, I have been amazed at her intricate and eloborate designs. She has been able to cater to the more ethnic, as well as the very western, groups at these events. During a previous wedding (sangeet evening), the males even joined in, opting for masculine desings and symbols of their favorite sports teams. Neetu did my (Our) mehndi on Jaanuary 2nd, 2008. Honestly, when everything was going wrong and was a mess at the wedding, the mehndi function was the only thing that went right. Neeta arrived before promised time to get herself settled and ready. She did my bridal mehndi and all cousins and aunts and kiths and kins present there in less than 4-5 hours. I would strongly recommend Neeta for your Bridal Mehndi. Since Im from England and my wedding was in California, I had gone crazy doing research for a good mehndi artist. I came across Neeta's website, and had my heart set on getting it done from her. Having done all my research, I would say that her designs are way ahead of any other North American mehdni artists I came across on the internet, and she is a great listner as well. Her work was so good it even changed one of my cousins mind about how to do her mehndi on her wedding - she wanted something just like what Neeta had done. I ended up going with the Arabic style which was beautiful!! Besides her being very talented and artistic, she was easy to work with and very professional. I set up meetings with her before the event to iron out final details and show her my outfits. She was very helpful in advising how long to leave it on how to treat , etc in order to attain the desirable color. Also - she was able to accommodate some last minute guests for us during the mehendi which was really important. She did a great job overall and I would definitely recommend her to any bridal party.
